On what was cloud-free, sunny day at the Sports Ground, the 2s arrived still slightly deflated from the previous weeks defeat. With the weather being like it was, and had been all week, captain Attree immediately chose to bat after winning the toss. That decision looked to be a poor one after just 11.2 overs.

Ronak Patel (4), Charlie Hampton (0), Mark Gannaway (2), Xavier Deacon (0) and Winston Loveless (2) all feel very cheaply to leave opening bat Torquil Deacon and Ryan Attree together with the score at 37-5. The pair managed to survive to drinks, and then preceded to rebuild the innings in the hope of posting a respectable score. A mixture of watchful batting, well run singles and despatching the bad balls for boundaries, the pair put on 77 before Attree was well caught on the offside boundary for a well-made 46.
The plan of attack continued at Torquil and John Carrington added a further 64 today before John was run out for a vital 38.
Torquil Deacon was left not out after carrying his bat for a superb 72 not out, with Lymington finishing on 219 all out - with much owed to those two partnerships.

The new ball was given to Conor Jackson and John Carrington as usual and the opening pair absolutely blitzed through the Andover batsmen - both taking 5 wickets apiece. Conor took 5-16, with this being his first ever five-wicket-haul and Carrington taking 5-23, with Andover being skittled out for just 53, giving Lymington a 166 run victory and the perfect response to last weeks defeat.

Next week the boys travel to Hursley Park with the goal of continuing the fine first half of the season form. 23 points gained on his occasion.
